The play these children acted was called, "A Dangerous Place". They made a fantastic job of presenting their play. They cooperated, spoke clearly with expression, had lots of enthusiasm and kept the audience's attention.

On Wednesday we went to music with Mrs Procter in Room 1. We learnt a new waiata , played the ukelele and played untuned percussion instruments. Room 2 is looking forward to having music again next week.

WASTE NOT - WANT NOT This is the title of our new topic. Room 2 looked at the fruit that is composted at Parkland School. Bananas were the most represented fruit. Some mandarins were wasted by not being eaten. Lots of flesh on the apples was not eaten. Our question is - Can we reduce food waste at school and in our homes ? Why is food wasted?

We had an exciting school trip today. Our aim was to be looking like a tourist in Palmerston North. First we spent time at the Square finding 12 landmarks. Then we walked to Te Manawa. A bus ride to ANZAC Park to look at the view. Lunch at the Esplanade and finally a swim at the lido. Thanks to all the Mums and Dads who came and helped on our trip. We couldn't do it without you.
